Wow, expired analog films
Our photography collective, Co’Lab, owned an impressive box filled to the brim with film. Not just any box—a remarkable collection of almost 700 35mm films, including both color negative varieties in 200 and 400 ISO. The intriguing twist is that all of these films are expired. However, in today's photography world, expired films have become surprisingly popular! The new generation of photographers is captivated by the unique analog flaws and nostalgic characteristics of these older films and is constantly on the lookout for expired options. To better understand the condition of our films, I began by conducting a series of tests. Once I gained insight into their quality, I took the next step and started selling them on Catawiki, reaching out to fellow enthusiasts.
